On January 26 2022, the MATRYCS Big Data Alliance (BDA) held its 2nd meeting. BDA is a structured collaborative space for selected and active stakeholders that together will solve the practical challenges relating to building lifecycle management by combining meaningful data sets and using data analytics emerged from H2020 MATRYCS project.
In this meeting, existing members of the BDA, proceeded with a presentation of their identity, their activities and participation in ongoing projects and initiatives in ICT/data related projects in the building sector and their expertise. The scope of the meeting was to take a deeper look in its members capabilities regarding data access and capacity, data analysis and applications in order to identify potential synergies and partnerships, so as to facilitate data-driven solutions for the challenges the building sector is facing.
DSS Lab – EPU participated in the meeting, by presenting its current research activities in ICT and Energy related projects. As BDA initially focuses in the building sector, an overview of the DSS Lab activities under MATRYCS project, regarding data processing and analytics services in the building environment, was outlined. The expertise of DSS Lab in data-driven solutions and its technical capabilities, along with the state-of-the-art research being conducted, can ensure the success in challenges that BDA members seek to address.
